Clamcleats®

Clamcleat rope cleats now need little introduction. The principle of the converging tapered grooves ensures grip without wear. Simply lay the rope which will automatically cleat under load. To release just jerk upwards.

There are now 3 basic models (i) original moulded nylon, (ii) racing aluminium silver coated, (iii) racing aluminium hard anodised.

The nylon models remain best value for where high loads or rope surge are not encountered.

With the advent of smaller and harder core rope diameters and burn, the higher load demands the aluminium 'Racing' equivalents which are now becoming the norm. Indeed some of the smaller models profiles have now been improved to cope even better.
